Brewery

We got our alcohol production license in 2016. Since then, we have built a microbrewery suitable for brewing «real Tau beer» to our guests visiting Lilland Brewery Hotel. Our «brewing master», Eyvind Flood, is a certified Diploma Craft Brewer from the Scandinavian School of Brewing.

We host beer tasting and brewing courses for groups. These activities are suitable for both private and corporate events. You can also buy some of the beer to bring back home from our beer shop at the hotel.

Tau has a long tradition of brewing beer. Tau Bryggeri started in Tau, and we want to keep brewing based on these local brewing traditions. At the same time, we are inspired by more modern breweries, such as Lervig, Ægir, Kinn and Salikatt. With a special focus on details and good craftsmanship, we maintain our values – local and real. Our beer is handcrafted, so that each brew gets it characteristic flavour. Our basic beer types are Blonde, Pale Ale, Indian Pale Ale, Brown ale, Pilsner, Lager, Neipa and non-alcoholic. We also brew White IPA, Rye IPA, Porter, Red Ale and Belgian Witbier. You can enjoy our beer in our restaurant or lobby bar.
