A natural choice for anyone going to Preikestolen and Ryfylke, or for those who want a different setting for either private or corporate events. Our goal is to give all our guests a local and real experience, where everyone is taken great care of.
Since 1909, taking great care of our guests have been essential for us. The hotel started as a doctor’s house, before it became a nursing home, and finally a hotel. Strand Nursing Home was usually just called «the home», and we still want our guests to feel at home with us.
At Lilland Brewery Hotel you can sleep tight. Secluded from busy roads, and with the nature as your closest neighbour, you are secured a good night’s sleep in our comfortable new beds. After an active day, either at work or out exploring the nature, you can relax in our garden. Possibly while enjoying one of our home brewed beers?

Location
We call ourselves «the hotel right outside of town». The town of Strand, Jørpeland, is only a 12-minute drive from the hotel, and we are located just a short drive from Stavanger city centre (35 min).
We have good bus connections to Jørpeland, Preikestolen Mountain Lodge and the NOSEFO centre. Stavanger Airport is 26 km away.

Lilland Hostel Vaulali
Ryfylke Hostel Vaulali is located in picturesque surroundings by Bjørheimsvatnet in Bjørheimsbygd. The hostel is an excellent alternative for families, bicycle tourists, backpackers and others who are looking for a reasonably priced and comfortable accommodation when visiting Preikestolen and Ryfylke.

You can spend many days at Vaulali without getting bored. Take a swim or rent a canoe and take a paddle on Bjørheimsvatnet. At the hostel, we have a football field, a beach volleyball court, a playground and a game room with table tennis, among other things. There are several local mountaintops to hike, such as Holtaheia, Reinaknuten and Heiahorn.
Bjørheimsbygd is home to the greatest mountain biker of all time, Gunn Rita Dahle Flesjå. At the hostel, you will have plenty of opportunities to go mountain biking or biking along country roads. Tjøstheim Gard offers horseback riding through forests and fields.
Bjørheimsbygd is 7 km from Tau (RV 13), a 35 min drive through the underwater tunnel from Stavanger, and approximately a 30-minute drive from the parking lot at Preikestolen. The hostel is open in July and August.
